There is a real person at the other end of this form. Use it for corrections, questions about anything published here, or business enquiries — the message goes to the inbox of the person who writes the guides.
Corrections are the most useful thing you can send
Pubs change hands, car parks go cashless, bus timetables thin out on a Sunday and a National Trust property closes for winter earlier than you would think. If you have been to the Cotswolds recently and found something on this site that no longer matches reality, please say so. The most useful message names the page you were reading, the detail that is wrong and what it should say — for example, “the parking charge on your Bourton guide is last year’s”. I check it against the operator and update the article.
Things I genuinely cannot help with
This is an independent guide with no connection to any Cotswolds business, transport operator or local authority, so some things will be faster to take elsewhere:
- Bookings of any kind. I cannot reserve a room, a table or a ticket, and I cannot change or cancel one you have already made.
- Anything to do with an individual business. Complaints, refunds, accessibility arrangements and group bookings need to go to the pub, hotel or attraction itself. I am happy to point you at the right website.
- Lost property and travel disruption. For trains that is the operator you travelled with; for a bus it is the bus company; for something left in a village it is usually the local police or the venue.
- Footpath, access and land questions. Rights of way are handled by the county council, and questions about a specific estate belong with that estate.
- Personalised itinerary planning. I do not build custom trips one to one. The itinerary guides are where that work lives, and they are free.
Press, permissions and business
The same form works for press enquiries, requests to quote or reproduce something written here, and image permissions. One thing to save you time: this site does not publish sponsored posts, paid links or guest articles written to place a link, so a pitch of that kind will not get a yes however it is framed.
Send a message
Everything except the message itself is there so I can reply. Addresses are not added to a mailing list, because there is no mailing list.
How long a reply takes
Most messages get an answer within a few days. Corrections are usually dealt with faster, because fixing the article takes less time than writing back about it. If you have heard nothing within a week it is worth sending again — occasionally a message is caught by a spam filter at my end.
